The Law on Maritime Property and Seaports (“Narodne novine” no. 158/03, 100/04, 141/06, and 38/09) regulates
the types of concessions on the port area of ports open to public traffic that are granted by the Port Authority:
• Concessions for the performance of port activities and other economic activities that do not require the exclusive use
of existing or new buildings and other structures on the port area.
• The Port Authority grants concessions upon request by the applicant.
• Concessions for the performance of port activities and other economic activities that require the use of existing and/or
new buildings and other structures on the port area.
The Port Authority grants concessions based on a public call for tenders.
