Management of safety and hazards represents a new approach to safety and security management in the area of the Port Authority of \u0160ibenik. It was developed through the broader interests of the Port of \u0160ibenik, with the aim of improving the safety of those who use the port or work in the port, as well as the safety of ships, passengers, cargo, and the environment. It is particularly focused on those who affect human lives, property, and the environment in and around the port.<\/p>

In order to maintain a high level of security in the port area, the Port Authority of \u0160ibenik will introduce a video surveillance system as well as a system for controlling access of persons, vehicles, and vessels (AIS) in the port area.<\/p>

The Port Authority of \u0160ibenik has aligned its Port Facility Security Plan with the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) on July 30th, 2004, which sets out the mandatory security requirements for ships and port facilities engaged in international trade.<\/p>

To ensure quick response in case of accidents:<\/p>

\u2022 In case of major accidents at sea (pollution, rescue, collision, grounding, sinking, fire)<\/p>

\u2022 Bomb\/terrorism threats<\/p>

\u2022 Emergency medical situations where human lives are at risk.<\/p>

\u2022 Any form of harassment of the ship's crew.<\/p>
